Hi, my name is Tanveer Singh. I am an artist and designer based in Toronto, Canada. I am a detail-oriented design illustrator and communicator focused on visual identity and design production, with a strong background in graphic design, package design and character design.
HOW I GOT STARTED
My career as an artist and designer began early in life when I started my own YouTube channel, making “Let’s Play” videos for games such as Minecraft, Rocket League, League of Legends, and various RPGs. I designed all the thumbnails, logos, typography and edited all my videos. Around the same time, I began dabbling in character design and moved towards my first foray in freelancing as an illustrator, specializing in OCs and D&D characters. Characters slowly turned into monsters, where I found my niche as a monster and character illustrator.
As I continued to grow as an artist and designer, my passion led me to OCAD University, where I majored in Graphic Design. Being an illustrator in a community of graphic designers allowed me to develop my own distinctive style, combining graphic design and illustration.
MORE THAN JUST A DESIGNER
Outside of my work as a design illustrator, I am also a hobbyist. I love learning new skills and applying them to various parts of my life! I am a huge gamer, comic book/manga nerd, action figure collector and photographer as well as a Toronto Blue Jays fanatic. I am also a big music lover, and though I started quite late, my vinyl collection continues to grow every day.
